Add another element to your little one’s sensory play, with one of our originally designed and made bioplastic dough cutters. They can be used in playdough, kinetic sand, air dry clay and for baking. Beadie Bug Play 3d print the cutters from PLA, which is a plant-based bioplastic derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch, tapioca root or sugarcane. The bioplastic filament we use is made by an Australian business.
Please see photos for small person hand scale. These cutters pair beautifully with our turtle lifecycle stamps, sea creatures stamps, and other sea creatures bio cutters!
Hand wash only. Exposure to extreme heat (in a dishwasher or direct sun) will damage the natural materials these cutters are made from and shorten their lifespan. Bioplastics are designed to biodegrade over time, unlike traditional plastics. If cared for well they will last for many years.
Recommended age 3+. Use under adult supervision. NOT to be used as a teething or chew toy.
Please note that bioplastic is not hydrophobic and will absorb watercolour paints, as pictured here. We make our products for play, not display - they are not made to be unused, pristine specimens.
Price is for 1 x Bio Cutter.
Beadie Bug Play are a small, family business, based in Adelaide, South Australia. Carley runs the business (assisted by her husband, 2 employees and - most importantly - their 5 year old product tester)! A Beadie Bug is what their daughter used to call ladybirds when she was a young toddler and the name kinda stuck.
They design and make all of their own wooden and bioplastic products. All of the brilliant products they make are “Made for PLAY, not display” and are all designed to have multiple uses. Their passionate for providing natural materials for kids means they ALWAYS look for/make a plastic-free option.
